"Oh Noah!" is a series of short episodes that is designed to teach Spanish to children ages four to seven through animated videos with embedded games that help build vocabulary.

The series revolves about a boy named Noah staying with his grandmother in her Spanish-speaking town. Along with the only other English speaker there, Nell, Noah must familiarize himself with Spanish culture and language if he wants to be able to communicate with and befriend the people of the town. In each three-minute video, a misunderstanding launches a comic misadventure.

The series was produced and created by Thirteen WNET New York Public Media and animated by California-based Renegade Animation.

Characters[]

Noah (Voiced by Jorge Diaz (2011) Cory Doran (2015)) - A twelve-year old boy who moved to Mexico to live with his grandmother. In his grandmother's Mexican neighborhood, no one speaks English. He really likes to help others, even when he is not sure what they need. Noah is trying to learn Spanish, but misunderstandings often get him into a mess. Fortunately, he always manages to get himself out of trouble, often with the assistance of his pet mouse, Pequeño.

Pequeño (Spanish for “small” or “little”) - A small white mouse and loyal pet who is not very brave. He often finds himself rescuing Noah. Pequeño gets frustrated because he understands Spanish, but cannot speak it. He can only squeak, and often does so frantically as he tries to keep Noah on the right path, but rarely works.

Coco (Voiced by Katie Leigh) - A really smart five-year-old girl who lives near Abuela. She is shown to be like a younger sister to Noah. She enjoys hanging out with him because he always does her favors. Also, she knows it is highly likely he will end up taking her on a wacky adventure. Whatever happens, she does not get afraid easily, because she has nerves of steel.

Abuela (Voiced by Katie Leigh) - (Spanish for “grandmother”) - is Noah's grandmother who is on a mission to help Noah learn Spanish. But her attempts to communicate with him often end in disaster. Though they may not speak the same language, Noah knows he can always count on her. She is shown to be sweet and loving, but brave enough to stare down a charging bull.

Nell (Voiced by Denise Oliver) - A nine-year-old girl who is Noah's best friend. She is new in town and struggling to learn Spanish, just like Noah. Nell always has Noah's back, and tries to be prepared for whatever comes his way. Her bag holds everything she thinks she and Noah will need in any situation – plus her smartphone, which she uses to translate Spanish words she doesn't know.

Brisa - An eleven-year-old girl who is very busy and appears to be the most popular kid on the block. She is shown to be bilingual, with the ability to speak both Spanish like her mother and English like her father. She can help out Noah and Nell when they get into situations, if they can track her down.
